Kimi Katkar’s Do Re Me song from the movie ‘The Adventures of Tarzan’…
Ok, here’s a video of the song Do Re Me from the movie ‘The Adventures of Tarzan’ more popularly just known as Tarzan.
In the song Kimi Katkar is trying to bring the character of Tarzan played by Hemant Birje up to date with the modern so called civilised world. The song was criticised to be a copy from the English song of the same name from the movie ‘Sound of Music’.
The movie released in 1985 and was primarily responsible for bringing the very unknown Kimi Katkar in to the limelight. People think that Tarzan was Kimi’s first movie but it was actually with ‘Patthar Dil’ that she made her acting debut. Anyway people loved Kimi in Tarzan (including myself) and I still feel that it was her finest display of acting till date.
The movie did bring to notice the lead actor Hemant Birje but he could not really capitalize on the success of the movie as much as pretty Kimi Katkar managed to do.
